On October 10, 2017 , Microsoft announced that Outlook 2011 was no longer supported and product software and security updates will no longer be pushed to the office product line. Since this announcement Outlook 2011 remained operational on most Mac OS devices. Recently, Macintosh began pushing out notifications to all Outlook 2011 users that the product will no longer be compatible with newer versions of Mac OS and urges you to up grade to a compatible version of Outlook.
What does this mean for me?
If you are using a Macintosh computer and Outlook 2011 to access either your hosted exchange services or Office 365 service, you will soon be unable to use the application to access your mailbox.
What are my options?
- All Apple desktop and laptops come with an integrated free mail application called Apple Mail or iMail. This product is compatible with exchange and can be configured to access your data using the steps located within the article below.
